Information for Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to build homes. The homes are constructed with a metal roof and cement block walls. Volunteers with previous experience in masonry work and general construction are needed in particular. There are also many aspects of the construction phase where no prior experience is needed, such as; carrying blocks, digging footers, mixing cement, etc.
There are also volunteer opportunities available for ladies. These opportunities include painting, landscaping, photography and teaching Bible classes for local children using correlating crafts.
It is essential that volunteers have the blessing of their local pastor to participate in a project and display faithfulness and maturity in their walk with the Lord.
All volunteer workers associated with House of Hope must pay all their personal expenses. This includes but is not limited to; air fare, transportation, food, lodging or medical care.
House of Hope will not assist or reimburse volunteers with any costs associated with the construction of homes or any other volunteer labor.
